Such strange timing...

We finally did it. We launched our new service, www.bcelebrated.com a site which enables you to chronicle your life in a multi-media website that will become your on-line memorial site when you pass away. The site enables you to leave private messages for loved ones and will notify your community at the time of your death, inviting them to visit the memorial site.

After all the thinking, planning, designing, programming, re-designing, testing, re-designing, testing, re-designing... you get the picture, we were ready to launch Bcelebrated.

We did so this week... and then Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both died. It was so strange to lose two stars who had been such a big part of my youth. It made me even more aware of my own mortality, and the preciousness of life.

My friend Stacey said the passing of these two mega-stars in one day was a great example of why a service like Bcelebrated is needed. Farrah knew she was dying and had the opportunity to document her life and say her goodbyes. Michael Jackson's death took the world by surprise.

Even when faced with our own mortality, we can't all be Farrah Fawcett, with a film crew following us around to document our memories and final goodbyes. Bcelebrated enables "ordinary folks" to leave multi-media memoirs and private messages that will live on forever.

And what about Michael? Did he have any idea that his time here had come to an end? Did he say everything he wanted to those he loved; his children, family and friends? About half of us will die unexpectedly. It may be as big a shock to our families and friends as Michael's passing was to music lovers of the world. Bcelebrated is your way to leave a legacy of love to those you care about.

Our hope is that as you write about your life and leave messages to loved ones, you will benefit from the reflection, be encouraged to live a more inspired life, and leave a legacy of hope and inspiration for others.

What once seemed like a whacky idea is making more sense every day.
